On 11th July 2026, Loreto Day School Sealdah celebrated International Yoga Day by organizing an Inter-House Yoga Competition in the school Assembly Hall. Students from all four houses participated with great enthusiasm and performed both the compulsory and optional yogasanas with excellent flexibility, balance, discipline, and confidence.

The programme commenced with Surya Namaskar, creating positive atmosphere. The competition was judged by Ms. Suman Siraj and Ms. Zainab Rashid. The Headmistress, senior school teachers, coordinators, and students were present to encourage the participants.

After an impressive display of yogic skills by all the houses, St. Joseph House secured the 1st Position, while Mary Ward House secured the 2nd Position.

The programme concluded with an inspiring address by the Principal, who congratulated the winners and appreciated the efforts of all the participants. The event was a grand success, promoting physical fitness, mental well-being, self-discipline, and the true spirit of yoga among the students.
